If you would like a superior cup of coffee to go with a slice of something yummy, Le Petit Cafe will be here to serve you.
Hi, my name is Simon Morton. I have long been a fan of the Citroen HY van. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I can certainly see the beauty in mine. I bought my van from France and drove it home to Oxfordshire. It has been lovingly restored and has risen again into “Le Petit cafe”. I am a mobile coffee shop providing artisan wood roasted coffee from Ue and specialist teas from Jeeves & jericho.
20 years ago I made my first trip to the Baja with some friends with the idea of learning to surf. A few weeks turned into a few months as I fell in love with the people, the lifestyle and the food. Many trips later, I am still yet to master the waves – but I know there is no better day than one spent on the beach with friends, sunshine, surf and tacos! .
Baja Cantina is an idea that was conceived during that first trip. The idea of never having to leave the beach to eat. Although we may not be able to bring you the sunshine or the surf we can offer you fresh and tasty Mexican food served from our beloved vintage Citroën van. We have travelled the Pacific coast of Mexico extensively and drawn our inspiration over the last 20 years. Our food is fresh, fun and responsibly sourced using local butchers and suppliers wherever possible.
Our van takes on the guise of a little shack on a sunny beach. A little oasis where you can expect a smile and great fresh food. Come check us out over the summer at local carnivals, festivals and markets. We are also available for weddings and private functions.
How our passion for authentic Neapolitan pizza began.
Mozzarellanation came from our desire to reproduce the taste and experience that we had whilst travelling through Italy. Although the well lit, comfortable and long established pizza chains were great, it was the taste of the authentic ‘no fuss’ Neapolitan pizzerias that left a lasting impression. It seemed like ‘proper’ food, the sort of food that just hits the spot!
After looking for the same tastes and experiences back here, it was soon apparent that the only way we could replicate the smells and tastes that we had experienced on our travels was to start making our own. So, with the tips, hints and knowledge that we had gathered on our travels, our journey began and Mozzerellanation was born.
The authentic, distinctive taste that our log fired oven gives is unmistakable. No other form of cooking can replicate it. As soon as our Neapolitan oven reaches 400 – 500 degrees is is ready for your freshly made pizza to be cooked, in just one minute!
AT SMOKE YARD KITCHEN IT’S ALL ABOUT BBQ!
There is just something special about BBQ food cooked with fire and smoke.
For us good BBQ means keeping it simple, source the best produce and ingredients, treat them with respect and add a little fire, smoke, patience and time.
Our style of BBQ comes from our involvement with the Oxfordshire street food scene, with delicious and innovative menus designed to showcase our passion for home smoked meats and grilled BBQ, complimented by our freshly made sides and sauces.
Based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire and available for private catering, at Smoke Yard Kitchen our love of BBQ is combined with over 20 years of experience in the event catering industry, bringing a professional yet friendly and relaxed approach to your wedding, private party, corporate event or street food market, sharing good food and good times.
At Smoke Yard Kitchen we like to offer two styles of street food BBQ, low and slow smoked American style and hot and fast grilled style which is probably more familiar in this country. Whichever style of BBQ you choose for your event, we will source the best produce and ingredients, cook them over real lump wood charcoal and serve with freshly made side dishes and our own homemade sauces.
A new and unique ethnic street food concept.
If you already know us, you’ll know that we are the faces behind “Cinnamon Travelling Café’ – providers of multi-award winning Indian, Caribbean and fusion soul and street food. For almost 5 years we have catered for festivals, parties, corporate do’s, home delivery and Indian and Caribbean high teas.
So many people we talk to think they cannot eat many curry dishes, ethnic food or cakes because of their extra dietary needs. Our mission is to demonstrate that healthy ethnic food doesn’t need to compromise on flavour, that most basic dishes can be made accessible to all and accommodate any dietary requirement. We are super excited to be able to widen our menus making them accessible to all.
The emphasis is on health; high quality ingredients and amazing flavours. We will of course still have our traditional curries and dishes that are so popular with our existing customers.
We specialise in our favourite way of eating – STREET & SOUL FOOD, which traditionally is a more snack based menu eaten alongside tea or your favourite alcoholic beverage. This is where our Ethnic High Teas have made their mark, marrying the style and taste of street food into a traditional English experience!
Our delicious cakes can be made gluten, wheat and sugar free and we can substitute starch-based products like rice for other tasty alternatives such as spiced and riced cauliflower, celeriac and other low carb gluten free ingredients. In addition, we have a great vegan menu.
Freshly made churros served with dipping Valor chocolate.
“We are a small family street food business that started fifty years ago, when my mum, Encarnacion Garcia Fuenteseca , bought her first churros oven. From then on the whole process of preparation and cooking churros became part of our family tradition.”
